Lusmila Valdivia

Lusmila Valdivia is a 41-year-old woman who currently resides in Huarochirí, specifically in the Santa Eulalia neighborhood. She joined the community in 2011 with her sons Bryan, Abel and Justin. Since she liked to embroider and knit since she was little, she decided to start a business. Growing up, she was struck by the passion of her Shipibo classmates for embroidery and weaving, so she joined them and learned from them.

Her business specializes in embroidered and woven wool and thread gloves, hats, scarves, and bracelets for those who choose to use these materials for outerwear. Lusmila met Nassf through Liccet Suárez, founder of the Eco-Volunteer Network, which provides materials to entrepreneurs and supports their success so they can generate additional income for themselves and their families. For Lusmila, joining Nassf meant raising the necessary funds to cover her family’s expenses by selling products faster, a step that she continues to take today and for which she is extremely grateful.

Finally, Lusmila dreams of one day having her own craft store, where she can sell various clothes made by herself, as well as grown and decorated plants.
