The young woman belongs to the Shipibo Connivo indigenous group, located in the Calle Río district of the province of Ucayali. She is 17 years old and is a determined student. She currently takes English classes and speaks the Shipibo Connivo language fluently, which deeply connects her to her cultural roots.

Although she does not live with her parents, she does live with her grandmother, who has taken care of her since she was little. The grandmother is a talented Shipibo artist who remains faithful to the traditions and customs of her people and transmitted them from generation to generation, greatly influencing the young girl’s life.

This student’s specialty is making bead earrings with unique and beautiful designs. Her dream is to continue her studies in Canada and become a good professional. Her determination and passion to seek new opportunities and experiences in the world, while preserving her heritage, drive her toward the goal of creating a bright future.
